The visual concept was rooted in something earthly, rather than alien or unfamiliar. The goal was to create a 3D abstract object that evoked the essence of reindeer moss (Cladonia rangiferina), lava flow or lava stone, and organic tissue, an entity that could naturally exist within Iceland's environment, -the composer’s country of residence-. It was envisioned as something between plant, animal, and artificial, an uncanny, otherworldly, and almost monstrous form that disrupts its surroundings while searching for a place to belong.
